Time for a Crossing at Chester Moor

11.34.07am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 16th Sep 2007

Liberal Democrat Councillor Philip Nathan has written to the County Council Highways department to press for a pedestrian crossing at the A167 in Chester Moor. Philip told the C-L-S Lib Dems :

"Despite the new 50mph speed limit and road sign, there appears to be little change in the speed of the traffic. There doesn't appear to be any enforcement of the speed limit either. It's time the County Council bit the bullet and put some sort of pedestrian crossing in place, and did it as soon as possible."

C-L-S Lib Dems hope that action will be taken soon as this has been a problem for several years.
